Autism Spectrum Instructional Resource ASPIRE

SERVICES

Initial Assessment
Direct observation, interview, and questionnaire are used to assess client strengths and weaknesses in the areas of communication, adaptive/self-help skills, play skills, behavior, academics, and executive functioning. The prepared report is used as a basis for formulating individualized treatment plans.

Behavioral Assessment
ASPIRE's consultants perform comprehensive behavior assessments to determine the function of challenging behavior through a combination of direct observation, interview, and Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA). This information is used to design an individualized Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP) to address challenging behavior in the home and/or school environment.

Program Supervision
Experienced consultants design individualized therapy programs for our clients based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis. Areas addressed include behavior, communication, adaptive/self-help skills, fine and gross motor, play skills, academics, and executive functioning. Intensity of supervision varies and may include quarterly, monthly or bimonthly workshops, weekly team meetings, and/or observations of individual therapists.

Workshop Consultation
Programs are designed for individual clients based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis and delivered by an experienced behavioral consultant on an as needed or ongoing basis. Areas addressed include behavior, communication, adaptive/self-help skills, fine and gross motor, play skills, academics, and executive functioning. Cost varies depending on the length of workshop with typical workshops lasting between 1-2 full days.

Training
ASPIRE offers a variety of training opportunities to parents, school district personnel, and community groups. Topics range from Introduction to Applied Behavior Analysis to Challenging Behavior and Positive Behavior Supports. Customized training is also available to address specific content areas.

One-to-One Instruction
Running a home program requires substantial time and energy. Finding, training and maintaining a team of therapists is often time-consuming and frustrating. ASPIRE recognizes this and is pleased to offer this service to our clients. Our Therapists provide one-to-one instruction and attend monthly team meetings to discuss client progress and calibrate treatment strategies. In addition, therapists benefit from ongoing training, workshops and individual observation and feedback sessions. This service is currently available in the Austin, TX area only.
